Facebook "Newspaper" Will Spread Concerns In the Media

Facebook desire to fulfill his ambition to be a "personal newspaper" for billions of users is likely to make a variety of media newspaper publishers helm. Social networking website world has become a mainstay to find the latest news for the user should, as part of a drastic change about the way people get their news or information in this digital age.

Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, said in early November that he aims to make Facebook newsfeed as "personal newspaper that is perfect for every person in the world."

Zuckerberg said that when a newspaper provide the same information to every reader, Facebook can meraciknya in order to attract attention, providing news from around the world, community events, and updates about friends or family.

Former editor of USA Today, Ken Paulson, said that this is a different approach from enjoying the newspaper. "Whether good or not later, but this is something that can not be done by the traditional newspaper," said the man who is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Middle Tennessee State University.

With Facebook, editorial decisions about what is seen by the user is not made by a journalist, but by an algorithm that determines, news which will attract the attention of someone.

It is not only invite the attention of traditional journalism community but also some media experts who argue that Facebook seems to be able to give what you want to be seen by the general public in an efficient manner. 


"So close, so relevant, so timely, and this is about you. More of what can be done by all the newspapers, "comments Alan Mutter, a former editor of the daily newspaper Chicago.

Mutter said that Facebook would make news more personal and are confident that this trend will continue for a young group of readers prefer news from digital and mobile platforms rather than having to read information from a sheet of paper.
